Determining Which Yank Eliminator Will work with your Engine

Step 1 : Remove the pullstarter from the back of your engine as shown in the picture on the right

Step 2 : Look at the back of your engine
There should be a smooth round shaft that stick out the back of the engine. ( Some engines do not look like this, please see note below)

Step 3 : Measure the diameter of the shaft. They come in two sizes, 6mm and 8mm. You can just put a ruler next to it and see which shaft you have.

Step 4: If you have a 6mm shaft... use part # 9300
If you have the 8mm shaft ... use part # 9301

Notes:

When the engine is mounted in your car, the back of the engine must not be blocked by other parts. You need to be able to slide the yank eliminator onto the back of the engine. If your engine is mounted in a way that you cannot access the back, then you cannot use this tool

There are some engines, such as the Thunder Tiger brand that come with the RC10GT RTR kits. They do not have a smooth round shaft in the back. They have what looks like a bolt shape piece that falls out the back of the engine and leaves a hole in the back. You cannot use the Yank Eliminator with those types of engines.
